In our research, we found that Autism is almost unknown and mistaken with other mental health problems by parents and the community. There is no principal in support or sufficient knowledge in understanding autism. Once a child is diagnosed with autism, parents are not able to cope, as they lack the knowledge and skills required to handle the pressure.
The outcome of our autism research in Iran made us determined to support desperate Iranian families who have children with autism. Demand is too high while services are not available or are limited. However, our research in Iran suggested that awareness of autism is the most priority on the agenda.
We believe delivering information and guidance for parents can make a huge difference in the understanding and the behaviour of children with autism thus knowing how to respond.
Puzzle Foundation has publicized latest information within a complete book for Farsi speaking peoples.
This service is a complete package for autism awareness, along with strategies and methods to tackle arising problems with understanding behaviour, anxiety and ways of visual communication. Within a month, we have publicized over 4000 booklets, which have already been contributed among families in Iran.
Since there are many approaches that can support a child with autism, Puzzle Foundation is proudly determined to challenge the autism awareness by providing our services.
We campaign to improve the awareness of autism, along with the views and attitudes of people towards autism.
